RESOURCES

Some resources I’ve found useful on my astrological journey:

Steven Forrest is one of the foremost astrologers in the world. He has pioneered a new system of astrology that recognizes the evolutionary agency of the human being as a key factor in how the astrological influences delineated by the birth chart come to bear upon a person’s life. He has written many excellent books in a very accessible, down-to-earth style. His first, “The Inner Sky” is hailed as a classic and provides a clear and easy to assimilate introduction to the fundamentals of astrology. He also has dozens of excellent audio lectures available for purchase on his website and I’m posting a link to his School of Evolutionary Astrology below that also.

Liz Greene is the author of many of the most highly regarded books on modern psychological astrology. Her work is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the field of depth psychology and how it relates to astrological symbolism. A Jungian analyst, she approaches the question of psychological astrology with a profoundly penetrating insight into the mysteries, complexities and rewards of the human experience.

Adam Elenbass is a Hellenistic Astrologer who has a broad and interesting take on astrology and its application to the process of spiritual unfoldment on a practical day-today level. He has a popular YouTube channel as well as his own school, both of which I highly recommend:

Graham Ibell is an excellent astrologer from New Zealand. I had my first reading with him more than 25 years ago. Graham offers comprehensive astrological services and specializes in horary (asking questions as you would to an oracle such as the i-ching) and electional astrology (choosing a specific date on which to initiate any important endeavor - starting a business, getting married etc.) He also offers a rectification service (determining the exact time of birth for those who don’t know it, which is essential for in-depth astrological work).

The Astrology Podcast - Chris Brennan is a leading figure in the Hellenistic Astrology movement and has a well-established and excellent podcast that covers many interesting topics, ranging from the history of astrology, to the question of fate and free will, ancient philosophy and modern translations of Ancient Greek and Latin astrological texts; he also interviews many of the world’s most prominent astrologers from a wide variety of astrological traditions and presents different series of episodes outlining the basics from the Houses, to Signs and Planets etc. His monthly forecast episodes are also excellent.

Demetra George has been a leading light in the international astrological community for over 40 years. She pioneered the use of asteroids in astrology, and, though she specializes in Hellenistic astrology, her breadth and depth of knowledge and erudite explanations of key astrological themes and concepts, as well as the history of astrology, are a real eye-opener for astrologers from any tradition. You can find many short courses and lectures for purchase on her website and she also offers an in-depth training program.

Stephen Arroyo has some of the best books on astrology I’ve ever read. He has a really accessible conversational style and his insights and observations are profound and incredibly helpful; without doubt, one of the great contributors to modern psychological astrology. All his books are excellent.
